We will integrate these medicines to heal our selves and rekindle right relationship with mother earth.

What you will learn + format

Live gatherings

  1. Communal cooking rituals focused on seasonal diet of ancestral vegetables, fruits, grains & seafood

  2. Basic resources to support our nervous systems & spirits through change– meditating with the elements, ancestral plant allies, healing with the seasons

  3. Intentional time for reflective journaling and/or small group sharing circles

Self paced google classroom

  1. Weekly guided rituals for honoring self, ancestry, community, and the natural world

  2. Weekly lecture videos– decolonized Filipinx histories of agriculture, food, spirituality, & society from pre-colonial period up to current issues

This class is for you if you want to –

  • Reclaim basic ancestral practices of traditional cooking for healing both self & community

  • Reorient to cycles of the earth through ritual, mindfulness, and awareness of the elements in our bodies (earth, air, water, and fire)

  • Empower yourself with the complex truths of our history and where we stand now collectively

  • Take the fruits of your healing and share them with this group & larger communities for witness, expansion, and complication

Circle Protocol

Each of our live, virtual gatherings will consist of intentional grounding where we are encouraged to open and maintain our own sacred space and/or altar. Suggestions for how to create this space will be shared after registration.

The majority of our time will be spent in cooking workshop and communal story-circle where we are allowed to share stories and reflections throughout the process of cooking. We will close with grounding breaths and offer food to our loved ones & ancestors as a gratitude for the gift of this medicine.

Due to the intimate nature and overall learning arc of our journey, participants must be able to attend at least 4 out of 5 sessions (with our first session being required) and remain present for the majority of gathering time. Please register for our email list if you cannot attend this workshop and you’d like to stay updated for other offerings.
